The book "Kurds in Travelogues" attempts to study the Kurds of Iran in a specific time period (from the Safavid to the end of the Pahlavi dynasty) based on domestic and foreign travel writers; from a social, cultural and economic perspective; in order to shed light on the points and unspoken things that have remained hidden from the eyes of historians through the analysis of travelers' writings. Given that historical sources generally deal with kings, rulers and dynasties; therefore, by using travelogues, which are often based on direct observation of people, this deficiency can be compensated for and they can be used as complementary sources in studies.
The purpose of this book is to review and examine materials related to the Kurds of Iran based on the reports of tourists who visited Kurdish-populated areas and made observations about the Kurds, in order to provide readers and researchers with an understanding of this channel regarding the Kurds by classifying the topics raised in the travelogues.
